NEW WATERMARK/LOGO

It's all in the name: you may have noticed that the name of my photography changed ;) as much as I like "Arey of light" it has some problems: takes some explaining, can be hard to remember, and doesn't seem "associated" with me. So I have officially decided to change it to {brite}wilson photography!

What made this my choice, well let me explain (if you don't see already)

My full name is Britney Emilie Wilson. My friends and family normally call me Brit. So I am Brit E Wilson. Run that all together and you get ... britewilson ;) my twitter user name is britewilson, and so is my email, so it just made sense to add some brackets (which I love, I don't know why I just do ;) and have the name of my photography mach my actual name and contact info :)

If you would like to see more of my work check out my facebook page (it's quicker and easier for me to upload there so sometimes my blog gets neglected :/ I am also working on a website, but I'm pretty picky and a slight perfectionist so it could take awhile. But be on the lookout! TTFN!

ATTENTION EVERYONE! As I am now done with school and really starting to do more photography sessions I decided to change my photography name to something more simple, and easy to remember. So I am now.....

iheartfaces {Happiness}

This picture came to mind when I saw the theme was happiness :) It makes me smile that's for sure. During the session their daughter wondered off just a little playing in the grass so I took the opportunity to get some shots of just mom and dad. I said "I could take a kissing picture." Haha, Rob took ahold of that opportunity, Julie was a little shy and kinda scrunched up laughing and saying "no Rob stop it". Their {HAPPINESS} and joy was wonderful. :D I just can't stop smiling.

Drew asked me to come and take photos when he proposed to his girlfriend Ellen and even though things didn't go according to plan and he proposed when it was just the two of them (which I think is quite sweet) I was still able to celebrate with them and take a few photos! :D

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

Or rather I'm alive!! Wow, let's see it's been FOREVER since I have posted (June 16 2011 was the last time!!!) and forever is a long time ;P So let's see, since June 16th I have....

-shot 5 family sessions, 1 infant session, 1 band session, and 1 senior session
-been married for 10 months! :)
-become a interns wife (almost a pastors wife ;)
-started a small group with some of my closest friends
-finished school and got my Photography Diploma!!!!
-started working mornings and afternoons at the UPS Store (yay no more working till 6:45pm)
-made my biggest purchase on one item ever in my entire life (a new tv)
-gotten very skilled at washing dishes by hand
-got health insurance (with maternity valid 1-1-13 ;)
-got my fist speeding ticket :/
-joined the YMCA
-read the whole "Inheritance Cycle" by Christopher Paolini
-watched 5 kids for 24hours with my husband (I've done this many times but with my husband it was quite fun)
-called the cops on our apartment neighbors for smoking pot
-met more of my husbands side of the family
-got an iphone ;)
-learned how to share my computer with my husband (partially why I have not posted for so long, his computer went kaput so we have had to share mine, so I normally only have it in the evenings when I want to spend time with him, so yay for letting him sleep in while I blog this morning! :D)
-realized that this is probably long enough ;P

So yeah, there is some of my life since the last time I posted. Now to look forward.

I think I am going to try to post at least one photo from every session/event/outing that I do and then from time to time if I have more time on my hands I'll post more than just the 1. So here we go following this will be a post with photos since June 2011. And then a post of a recent shoot. :D

So everyone, sadly I have missed two weeks of project 52 :( and I decided that I just need to take a break. I just got married :D May 21st, to my best friend in the whole wide world! I am now Britney Emilie Wilson!(See some photos HERE!) May 24th I started my new job and the summer semester at college started (taking 2 classes) so I have been busy with new things, new responsibilities, and new assignments and blogging has not been a top priority. I wanted to blog about this not that you thought I fell off the face of earth ;P So I am taking a few weeks from blogging until things aren't so crazy, I really wish I could keep up with it but other things take priority over this. I hope to be posting again soon, lots of love to all you followers! (wow just checked and saw that I have 30! woo-hoo:)

Week 18

So time totally got away from me last week, it's been crazy  so week 18's photo isn't that spectacular. To share with family & friends that don't live near us our apartment I took photos and put them into a panorama so they could see the room as a whole. So here is one of those shots I did not use a trip pod, just stood steady, swiveled, and clicked ;)And this is actually a screen shot of that photo because blogger is not letting me load the original ;P PS (photo-merge does a wonderful job of stitching photos together). So sorry to say this is all for this week but I may have some newborn photos for this week (week 19) ;D

Soft & Sweet at iheartfaces

Well hello again, it's been awhile since I've posted an entry for iheartfaces(been a bit busy). Sorry I'm posting late again :P (see this is why I couldn't do a Project 365) With the school semester coming to an end, finding an apartment & moving stuff in for Ryan, and wedding planning (ONLY 25 MORE DAYS!!!!) I've been a bit busy ;P But I'm loving every minute of it. Slice of Life @ iheartfaces

Sooooooooo, I just realized that the challenges are open for entries on Sunday and Monday now :'C which means I missed it >:/ man! *ugh* oh well.... here's my post anyways.

 This weeks theme is a "Slice of Life". It was hard to choose a photo, I have tons of candid shots (I just love 'em) But this one really felt like a "slice" to me. This is my fiance and a little girl that goes to our church. I've known her since she was born and I babysat them frequently. She got to know Ryan (my fiance) through me and she loves him a lot. Whenever he's seen he gets a great big hug. We were downtown handing out free water one hot summer day and on our way back to the car she got a fun ride on the cooler ;) This is a slice of life I will always remember. I love watching Ryan interact with little kids, boy I can't wait to one day have some little munchkins of our own. :)

whew another week that has flown past!!! I'm really sorry I haven't been able to write more but hey photos are better to look at than the words right? So I guess it's good to keep it short sometimes ;)

This photo was taken for my Studio class the assignment was "food and beverage" and my amazing fiance (who is in the Culinary Arts program at the same college I go to) made this especially for me and this assignment :) thanks love!
