NEW WATERMARK/LOGO

It's all in the name: you may have noticed that the name of my photography changed ;) as much as I like "Arey of light" it has some problems: takes some explaining, can be hard to remember, and doesn't seem "associated" with me. So I have officially decided to change it to {brite}wilson photography!

What made this my choice, well let me explain (if you don't see already)

My full name is Britney Emilie Wilson. My friends and family normally call me Brit. So I am Brit E Wilson. Run that all together and you get ... britewilson ;) my twitter user name is britewilson, and so is my email, so it just made sense to add some brackets (which I love, I don't know why I just do ;) and have the name of my photography mach my actual name and contact info :)

If you would like to see more of my work check out my facebook page (it's quicker and easier for me to upload there so sometimes my blog gets neglected :/ I am also working on a website, but I'm pretty picky and a slight perfectionist so it could take awhile. But be on the lookout! TTFN!

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

Or rather I'm alive!! Wow, let's see it's been FOREVER since I have posted (June 16 2011 was the last time!!!) and forever is a long time ;P So let's see, since June 16th I have....

-shot 5 family sessions, 1 infant session, 1 band session, and 1 senior session
-been married for 10 months! :)
-become a interns wife (almost a pastors wife ;)
-started a small group with some of my closest friends
-finished school and got my Photography Diploma!!!!
-started working mornings and afternoons at the UPS Store (yay no more working till 6:45pm)
-made my biggest purchase on one item ever in my entire life (a new tv)
-gotten very skilled at washing dishes by hand
-got health insurance (with maternity valid 1-1-13 ;)
-got my fist speeding ticket :/
-joined the YMCA
-read the whole "Inheritance Cycle" by Christopher Paolini
-watched 5 kids for 24hours with my husband (I've done this many times but with my husband it was quite fun)
-called the cops on our apartment neighbors for smoking pot
-met more of my husbands side of the family
-got an iphone ;)
-learned how to share my computer with my husband (partially why I have not posted for so long, his computer went kaput so we have had to share mine, so I normally only have it in the evenings when I want to spend time with him, so yay for letting him sleep in while I blog this morning! :D)
-realized that this is probably long enough ;P

So yeah, there is some of my life since the last time I posted. Now to look forward.

I think I am going to try to post at least one photo from every session/event/outing that I do and then from time to time if I have more time on my hands I'll post more than just the 1. So here we go following this will be a post with photos since June 2011. And then a post of a recent shoot. :D

No Posts :(

So everyone, sadly I have missed two weeks of project 52 :( and I decided that I just need to take a break. I just got married :D May 21st, to my best friend in the whole wide world! I am now Britney Emilie Wilson!(See some photos HERE!) May 24th I started my new job and the summer semester at college started (taking 2 classes) so I have been busy with new things, new responsibilities, and new assignments and blogging has not been a top priority. I wanted to blog about this not that you thought I fell off the face of earth ;P So I am taking a few weeks from blogging until things aren't so crazy, I really wish I could keep up with it but other things take priority over this. I hope to be posting again soon, lots of love to all you followers! (wow just checked and saw that I have 30! woo-hoo:)

On vacation for spring break, really should get to bed and get sleep (have more photos to take tomorrow ;) but I really wanted to share this photo with you. I absolutely love it! I can't believe how well it turned out. I love HDR :D This is a waterfall by Spook  Cave in McGregor Iowa.

I thought he was going to propose around Christmas, so I was totally surprised when he proposed on my birthday! I only knew what was going on when I saw the ring!

I am so incredibly blessed to have met the man that I have been praying for and that God has been planning for me to spend the rest of my life with. I love you Ryan Wilson!

And I can't wait to spend the rest of my life glorifying God with you!

Sooo, that's why there have been no posts (until now of course) my posts and photo entries will be low in number for awhile as we are getting married this Summer :D so I am going to be a busy woman, but just like with this post I will find some time to post every now and then. ;D

Question for you all

Hey everyone, I have a question for you. I’ve been debating on whether or not to keep my blog & photography called “Arey of Light Photography” or to change it to “Britney Emilie Photography” Britney being my first name and Emilie being my middle name. It would be more recognizable I think because it’s my name. But I don’t know. What are your opinions? I figured that if I'm going to change it I should now before I start perusing photography and developing it more. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could let me know what you think. Thanks so much! 

P.S. And since a post is so much better with a photo, here’s an example of how it would look.

Birthday Gift Idea :D

Hey everyone, I thought I’d share with you a Birthday gift idea that is fun to make, great to give, and awesome to receive. ;) May 5th was my best friends Birthday and I couldn’t find anything to give her, and didn’t want to just give her a gift card. I love gift cards but it is nice to get an actual gift, it shows thought & consideration. :) So I decided to make a “coupon book”, now this isn’t an ordinary coupon book filled with free hugs, washing dishes, clean my room, bring you breakfast type of coupons. This is a uniquely her & me coupon book. :) I had tons of fun making it (at 12 in the morning [I didn’t get home till 11 that night]) If I had more time it would probably look much better. But I she loved it, and I can’t wait till she uses them :D There are lots of ways to make one, and endless possibilities for coupon choices! Don’t know what to get them … make them a coupon book. :)

 

 

 

P.S. I made a watermark last night, what do you think of it? I’d appreciate your honest input.

P.P.S. I have no idea how or why the words that say coupon are links, I didn’t do that and I don’t know how to get rid of them…..hey maybe it’s just my computer…..? Weird!

New Header!!!!!

As you may have noticed, I have a new header!!!!!! :D

I’ve been meaning to put one together for a long time but haven’t had the time.

haha and somehow I came up with the bright idea of starting to work on it 12:30am!

And I couldn’t just work on part of it, no. I had to finish it and put it up on my blog of course! ;P

So here it is! Hope ya’ll like it! Please let me know what you (honestly) think of it.
