It's been so long since I've been able to post anything! Between school & work plus having photography assignments for college I've been to busy to take pictures for iheartfaces challenges. But awesomely enough we had a self portrait assignment, the assignment required two photos (two opposite in my personality) one was simple (which I am using below) and the other ornate (for that picture I did my hair and put makeup and ear rings on). It can be a challenge to get a good photo when taking a picture of one's self. Well I really need to get to sleep I get distracted to easily and the result is usually me not getting enough sleep ;P So here's my entry, just me, plain and simple :)

Autumn

I took a lovely walk a few days ago. Oh how I love Autumn! It was wonderful to take a break from the busy noise and be out in God's still beautiful creation.

I'm engaged!!!

I thought he was going to propose around Christmas, so I was totally surprised when he proposed on my birthday! I only knew what was going on when I saw the ring!

(which by the way he picked out himself ♥)

I am so incredibly blessed to have met the man that I have been praying for and that God has been planning for me to spend the rest of my life with. I love you Ryan Wilson!

And I can't wait to spend the rest of my life glorifying God with you!

Sooo, that's why there have been no posts (until now of course) my posts and photo entries will be low in number for awhile as we are getting married this Summer :D so I am going to be a busy woman, but just like with this post I will find some time to post every now and then. ;D

The Light Through My Lens (#4)

I love modeling for photos just as much as I do taking them. It's fun to be able to help other photographers practice shooting :D My friend (and model for some of my pics) Hannah took these photos, and let me edit them <3 She did a great job shooting!

My face isn't super clear in this photo but it's all I have to enter for this week. 

This is actually a photo I took for one of my college assignments that is due on Tuesday;

"Vehicle in Motion" (using 1/30 Shutter Speed). It was tricky at first but I got the hang of it after awhile.

Photojournalism at iheartfaces

I wasn't going to enter a photo this week because with starting college I've been pretty busy, but!!!

 I thought of these photos that I already had and figured it wouldn't take me very long ;D

 So it is a short post but at least I got a collage entered :D 

My adventure with Vala. 

I showed her how to blow dandelions and she thought it was the funnest thing! She picked and blowed all that could be found in the yard and thought she'd try to blow a dandelion that had bloomed, I explained that didn't work and we both had a good laugh :D

The Light Through My Lens (#3)

Hey all, gosh it's been a while! :/ And I can't even make this a very long post :( but I guess the reason's not all bad! I started school this week! :D / :/ I am going to DMACC's Photography Program! :D So as you have guessed my post can't be long cuz I gotta study ;P My boyfriend and I go to the same college :D This is his second year so he showed me around and helped me get to my classes. I've been so stressed with school starting, work starting, homework that I have to do, assignments that have to be done, balancing all that with my time with God, family, Ryan, and friends, chores, ect..... But God has blessed me with an amazing man to encourage me and keep me on the right track (God first and foremost). God knew what He was doing when He put us two together <3 I love how God show's Himself through everything! :D Ahhh okay, I took too long writing this I need to study, write an essay, and work on some photo assignments and teach a piano lesson! Look out college, cuz here I come!

"Beach Fun" at iheartfaces

Well I live in Iowa, and there are a few good lake beaches here, 

but being sick kept me from getting out to take a photo for this week. :( 

But I found one that would work, and it was taken with a point & shoot might I add.

I took this last summer when we went to visit our cousins in California :D

We had tons of fun at the beach!

Fix-It Friday #67

This is my first time doing Fix It Friday,
I had some time on my hands and thought I'd give this weeks a try ;)

The first thing I did was to fix up the photo:
